It looks great on your CV.
Washing and Care of Equipment
Make sure you don’t take shortcuts.
Wash the boats properly with soap to prevent corrosion.
Fix or report all damage.
Put things back where you found them.
5km Time Trials
Every Tuesday at 6am. Meet at 5.55am outside UTS. All size boats.
Heads Race training is underway for many of the squads.
Others getting underway in next 2 weeks.
Allocations in future will be more towards using our “training” boats thus keeping our newer equipment for events.
Black Boat Status
Captain Steve Duff calls for all rowers to submit an application for Black Boat Status for the new season should they wish to use these boats. Allocations will be done on rower status. Conditions for Black Boat Status approval are set out in the rules of the club.
World Masters Games, Turin
Congratulations to all the Leichhardt rowers who competed at the World Masters Games Championships in Turin. Most of our rowers made the finals in a number of events and many won medals. Well done to all and welcome home. We hope you had a great time and look forward to hearing all about your experiences of racing in Italy.
