Sometimes it’s good to be Italian

Corporate Challenge

There has been a wonderful response to the call for volunteers for the Corporate Challenge season in August.

We have nearly enough coaches but we need more coxes and more people prepared to jump in as subs at short notice. Contact Justin if you can help. The number of crews is continuing to grow too!!

So bear in mind that August will be a busy month on the pontoon.

The Corporates will take preference over everything and we all need to make them feel really welcome (so they come back next year). Many of us will be sneaking out from under the blankets of hibernation and starting our campaigns for the Yarra but just remember that boats might be hard to book and you will need to row at times that don’t jam up the pontoon for the Corporates.

It’s only one month of the year and it’s when we make the money we need to continue to buy boats and fix things.

Trick of the week

When putting riggers away that the gates should face inwards to wall so that the pins do not touch boats.

JB Sharp, 18 June

This will be on Iron Cove and organised by UTS. Once again, these regattas are GREAT for race practice and the Club highly encourages participation. So, come down, pick up a boat and line up to the start!
