Head of the Hunter
From Simon Hoadley
Last weekend was a huge success at the 45km Head of the Hunter! Very proud of the whole Leichhardt convoy that went up and either supported or rowed. A huge thanks to those parents who came and helped out, it was great to see that you all looked to be enjoying the weekend up in the Hunter Valley as much as the athletes!
A special congrats to Gen Kour, who won the Open Women’s Single, and also the Women’s handicap Race, which used prognostics to compare all the women’s boats.
2014-2015 Membership fees are due
LRC hosting final JB Sharp regatta Sunday 10 August
The final JB Sharp is this Sunday. All crews welcome to enter. The program is on the NSW website. Rowers must have paid their Rowing NSW membership for 2014/15. Email the Captain if you need a form to do on line. Belinda and Alex Farkash will be on the pontoon for boat allocations.
We are currently leading the point score so good luck to all entrants.
We are also running a BBQ as we are the host club.
This is the final regatta in the series. At about 12.30pm there will be medal and scholarship presentations upstairs.
The corporates commence this Sunday morning (early).
A full boat, tinny and time roster will be on the notice board every day. Coaches please use the equipment allocated. Put the motors on the correct boat. Tinny allocations are based on the tinny, NOT the motor.
We still need a few more volunteers. Vacancies are for coxing and tinny drivers. (I need one tinny driver to assist Erika on Wednesday and Saturday mornings).
Please email me today if you can help.
Please remember that these crews get priority pontoon use. If you intend to row during the next month go straight onto the water. Adjust at sea!
Scullers Head of Nepean on 23/8. Entries required by 11/8 to email@example.com
3 Rivers Marathon on 24/8. Entries via NSW website to the hosting club, not through us.

15.1 Nomination of candidates for election as Office Bearers of the Committee shall be:
(a) made in writing, signed by two Members of the Club entitled to vote and accompanied by the written consent
of the candidate (which may be endorsed on the form of nomination); and

Annual General Meeting at which the election is to take place.

Odus goes o.s.
Nitya has left for the UK to do her MBA at Oxford (Snob! Mostly an excuse to row over there…) and Odus will be travelling with her. Watch this space for pictures.
