NSW State Masters Championships

Good luck to all competing in this event over the weekend. We must do our best to get as many points as possible. It’s down to this regatta whether or not we will win the Premiership this year!

Lightweight Quad girls need a host

from Deanna F

Dear Rowing Friends,

At the recent Junior, U21 and U23 nationals Trials a few of our athletes were selected on teams in U23, U21.

Wallis Russell was selected in the U23 Lightweight Quad which will train from SUBC under Alfie Young.

Two of the girls in this boat are from interstate – Maddy Williams (QLD) and Verayna Zilm (SA).

They will be in Sydney from Monday 8th May (NEXT Monday) and leave for Europe with the team on 3rd JULY.

The SUBC Committee is seeking people who can billet these girls at you home for this period or part thereof.

Please help the crew, help stamp your club and/or our State as a generous host and help the Australian U23 Team for 2017.

One of the girls will have a car (Maddy) and the other not. The crew will train mainly between Mosman, Sydney Uni and Penrith so any locations from Gladesville through to the Inner West and across to Seaforth would be ideal.

Can you help?? Please call as soon as possible.

  • Email Chris Noel at
  • Call Alfie Young on 0414 787 154
