Get to the chopper (or whatever that line is)
from the Deputy Joint Chief Administrator for internal communications, information distribution, propaganda, and oxford commas
As the wise, benevolent former governor of California once prophetically foretold, I am back. With Alex’s return from yonder lands, she arrived only to mournful sorrows and please for mercy, that I may continue with the newsletter (or so I’ve told her). What’s mine is hers, and what’s hers is ours, and so we’ll work together to diligently bring you the newsletter each week.
On to the more trivial, “serious matters”
Roseville College regatta is on the Iron Cove tomorrow, first race is at 7.45am, and will likely take up most of the decent rowing time, as well as most of the shed. Pontoon will be busy with Pymble and of course the bay filled with school rowers.
Row-a-thon Date Change
Daryle’s brilliant idea to help raise fund for the Bushfire appeal and Wires (they look after the wildlife) has unfortunately found itself clashing with the SRC regatta, and has therefore been shifted to Sunday 23rd February, otherwise same details (get sponsors, row for two hours, help communities get back on track). What we’d love is:
- Tinny drivers
- Bring your squad
- Sponsor with your business if you feel so inclined
The Rowing Physio Matt Anthis has taken up that last idea, chipping in to support the juniors taking part. Word on the street is that he may be down to offer complimentary massages to the rowers on the day, so get in.
Friday night with the newsletter?
Doing nothing this evening? Head down to the Balmain Hotel from roughly 7pm to kick off the business end of the season in the right fashion. Hopefully see you there
