JB Sharp Regatta Series: Get organised now
A large number of rowers have already shown an interest in competing in the JB Sharp Regatta Series – which is great.
Juniors – please note that Kerry Thorn and Simon Hoadley (winter program) will coordinate your entries, speak to them if you wish to compete.
Kristin will co-ordinate registration for those events where registration is required.
The Captain will work out if we have enough boats to accommodate all those that plan to race.
Dates for the Series are:
- Glebe – 15/06/2014
- UTS – 29/06/2014
- Drummoyne – 13/07/2014
- Balmain – 27/07/2014

Reminder that members can book boats in accordance with the “Boat Booking Protocol” through our members section on our website.
Please do the bookings each Friday afternoon before 6pm to apply to your request for the coming Monday to Sunday. Some are booking for the next day.
I don’t update the sheet daily!
BLACK v GREEN
Members can’t just roll up, look for a boat that looks nice and go for a row, unless it is a GREEN boat (sticker next to name).
BLACK boats are not for general use. They are for crews training for special events following a program under supervision. They are also for individuals who have been approved to use them, ie: they know who they are. If you don’t know whether you are or not then you are one of the NOTS.
Ask your coach if unsure which boat can be used. Better yet, ask me!
Shelves have been added to the Gym cupboard. Let’s all try to keep it tidy from now
Lost property could be smelt as you come up the stairs. Nancy has been so offended that she has taken it home to wash. What a woman! She will return it this weekend. If it is not claimed it will be sent to someone who is more in need.
Note: there are a couple of nice pairs of Havaianas, several warm jackets, various Club shirts, an esky bag and many pairs of and single socks. Not to mention a very nice tool kit, soon to become the property of the Club!
New date: 6th July 2014 – put your name on the sheet @ the Club.
Mel and Guy Elron are at RPA recuperating with their new package, Ada Lorraine Elron. Mum and baby are both doing very well.

Your Club needs YOU – Deputy Treasurer / Treasurer Elect
We need an enthusiastic Club member with an accounting background to join the Commmittee as Deputy Treasurer and then take over as Treasurer after a suitable transition period. The current Treasurer has been counting the Club’s beans for five years now and is starting to go a more than a little cross-eyed.
The Treasurer has the support of an Assistant Treasurer, who looks after day to day payments. There are also well-established accounting systems in place. This allows the Treasurer to focus on advising on financial strategy, reconciling the bank accounts, maintaining the General Ledger in MYOB, producing financial reports, preparing budgets, and restraining other committee members from spending too much money.
If you can fill this important Club role, ring Onno – current treasurer – on 0403 331 604.
