This Week @ LRC 30 August 2019
From Steve Duff
We have 13 keen crews ready to show all they have learnt tomorrow out at SIRC. As this is our major fund raiser for the year it is important that all those able to attend come along to help and support the event. The Cafeteria will be open from 7am serving coffee, tea and various snacks as usual.
-Boat loading of 6 eights – 5pm Friday
-Boat rigging at SIRC – 6.30am Saturday (free parking on the island for all)
-Races commence at 8am, last race is at 12:30pm
-Derig and load boats – about 1pm to 1:30pm
-Boat re-rigging, washing and storage back at the shed 3 to 4pm at the latest.
The shed is closed to members for rowing or gym use on the Corporate Day – 31st August 2019. Your old door code will not work.
Saturday the 31st August is the last day to renew your membership for the new season.
All financial members will be sent the new door and WiFi codes which will be in place from 1st September 2019.
Non-financial 2018 members are not permitted to use the facilities unless they settle their account first.
If you are having any difficulties renewing please contact email@example.com for assistance.
ONLY EIGHT (8) MORE SLEEPS
UNTIL TRIVIA NIGHT!
Along with a great selection of personally crafted (By Rhiannon and Shan) of (not your usual) trivia questions, there will be an auction of some coaching sessions by Guy Elron, a raffle of some fabulous wines – first prize is one dozen award winning wines from the Heathcote region of Victoria (generously donated by Brian Ward) and second prize of 3 exemplary wines from the cellar of Richard Coleman. Thank you, gentlemen.
Dinner is included, drinks will be for sale, and entry is only $50 for adults and $30 for juniors and students.
To help us with planning, please book and pay online as soon as possible following the link in the poster. All funds are going towards the purchase of boats.
Once the Corporates are over, and we have fewer random coxes, the system of each box being allocated to a particular boat will be back in force.
There are 3 new CBs, allocated to the Iron Cove, Simmington and Milne, and two of the NKs are now allocated to the Bath and Clare. The CB for the Bodell, Coxmate no 16, is currently in for repair so please use the “spare” blue Coxmates.
Coxed 4s should us the “SPARE” blue Coxmates.
Please report all faults and accidental dunkings on the small notepad provided, or email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
We want each Yarra crew to have a good working CB, and the only way we can do this is to stick to this system. Don’t just dump a CB that does not appear to work and grab another without reporting or otherwise dealing with the problem.
- 31 August – Corporate Regatta
