After you have attended to boat maintenance please help us to clear the gym equipment away upstairs as there is a function at the club on Saturday from 1pm

Captain’s Log

Iron Cove Classic

Entries are due soon for the first ICC. We only have 9 rigged eights the first 9 crews to enter will get a rigged boat. After that there are 3 in the roof.

Please let me know over the next week if you plan to enter as other Clubs have asked if they can borrow any unused 8s from us, which we would like to accommodate if we have boats available.

Talk to your coach today if you are ready to enter. Don’t leave it till the last minute.

Pymble returns

PLC is back from this weekend.

No Pymble crews will be down Monday and Friday mornings so these are good days to train.

Training times for Pymble, when they will have priority on the pontoon are:

  • Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings from 5.05 to 5.25 and 6.50 to 7.05am.
  • Saturday between roughly 5.45am – 6.45am and 8.15am – 8.45am
  • Sunday 6.45am – 7.15am and 8.45am – 9.15am.

Get down early or late to ensure you can get on the water as quickly as possible. Boat booking requests will be adjusted to reflect these requirements.

Pontoon Use

Even when Pymble are not rowing, things can get pretty busy on the pontoon in the morning.
Please try to get your boat out and onto the water as quickly as possible.

If you are waiting for crew members to turn up, wait for them to arrive before you get your boat out. Even consider waiting upstairs so that others can move freely around the pontoon.

Boat Damage

We are still experiencing a significant amount of boat damage that is a result of carelessness. This is mostly as a result of not taking care when placing boats on slings.

Please be responsible and take care with the boats. And if you do damage something please tell the Captain, the vice-captains, the Boat Master (Bob) or the Property Master so that it can be fixed, or write it on the white board at the back of the shed.

If you have not renewed your membership then your existing membership has now lapsed.
