Happy New Year!

Welcome back after Christmas. Time to get in the boat and work off the Christmas Pudding.

Some hardy souls were at Taree last week and did a great job for the club. We came second in the points score for the regatta, even if it was blown out on the last day when a roaring Southerly came down the Manning River like a steam train. LRC had 12 wins and lots of places. We were beaten on the day only by UTS who were out in force. Each year at Taree there is the big feature race of mixed eights. This year 18 boats competed, lining up across the river. We did extremely well with a sixth but were right up with the leading group of boats.

New slings

You may have seen our new slings – very nice and many thanks to Dean, Christiaan and Tim Tindale for making them happen.
