A prayer to those who lost their lives and their families and friends this week in Martin Place. Makes our Club issues quite insignificant.
Christmas Day Row – Santa’s Sprint – It’s on for everyone
Start the day with a rare experience – row (and race!) under the Harbour Bridge.
Be at the club ready to row at 5.45am. We leave the pontoon about 5.50am and return about 8am. Put your name on the Christmas Day list so that we know how many people to expect.
We usually send a few eights and sometimes one or two quads or fours depending on who (actually) turns up. A club tinnie or two will escort the boats out and back.
Crews are generally sorted out on the morning or if you have a crew willing to participate, add their names on the list.
Entries due now. Please send to firstname.lastname@example.org until our new Regatta Secretary is appointed. This regatta is not open to recreational members.
We set for about 180 and I couldn’t see many empty seats. Great job by Glen Young with the catering and a big thanks from all of us.
The snails performed well on the night and I trust have all been put to pasture for their remaining years.
If you have any Christmas party photos please send them to email@example.com
Please make sure boat bookings are in between 7am and 6pm Fridays for the coming week – Monday to Sunday. Some of you are sending them in on the Saturday or Sunday and expecting me to redo the allocations. Tough luck!
Please try to put bookings in for the next 2 weeks as I will be in Victoria for Christmas. Just add the week commencing date.
Merry Christmas to all.
