This Week @ LRC – 15 March 2019
Two dogs, two goats and a 2.55.9 over 1km
from Steve Duff
Due to excessive work commitments our Assistant Treasurer Simon Miller, has decided to step down from the Committee.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Simon for his work as Treasurer for 2 seasons and more recently this season as Assistant Treasurer. He has provided a professional approach and excellent communication skills to help keep us in a great financial position. He tells me he may stand again in the future for a role should time permit and he gets some of his life back.
As a result of this the Committee has decided to make the following casual appointments until the next AGM.
Assistant Treasurer – Greg Norman (to replace Simon Miller)
Male Vice Captain – Isaac Eveleigh (to replace Greg Norman)
Member without Portfolio – Matthew Bourke (to replace Isaac Eveleigh)
Please give these volunteers your full cooperation and support.
Manning River Rowing Club
Sadly, the rowing Club we all got to know and love when we go to the Taree regatta has sustained severe damage and it’s been shut indefinitely.
See more news here.
The committee is on the look out for someone to become our Chief Tinny Officer/Tinny Master.
Basically we want someone to be responsible for maintaining our fleet of tinnies and ensuring they have all of the necessary safety equipment on board at all times.
It should not be that onerous, but may require a bit of effort initially to quickly audit the fleet and then make sure they all meet the required minimum standard. Please drop a note to email@example.com if you are interested in lending a hand.

On Sunday we witnessed the christening of our latest acquisition, the Sykes medium to light weight four/quad now named the Anna Cicognani.
Anna has donated endless time to the club over many years and the recognition is well deserved.
May all those who race in her be blessed (it has already had 3 wins!)
The Head of the River is on this Saturday, so if you happen to be anywhere near Penrith then feel free to get along and cheer on our shed buddies from Pymble.
The girls and their coaches have been putting in a heap of work this season so from all of us at Leichhardt – ROW HARD!!
We look forward to celebrating what has been a great season with you all.
