This Week @ LRC – 14 June 2019

A piece of LRC history

Thanks to Victor Schweikert, we have received and posted online a number of photos, a radio broadcast and (soon) a video of the 1959 King’s Cup raced in Perth over 3 miles, the last of the King’s Cup races over this distance.

The composite crew of Mosman and LRC rowers, counted, among others, Lionel Robberds as the cox and Ted Curtain.

Check out the photos and crew pictures here.

Membership Fees

Invoices for the 2019-20 membership fees will be issued in a couple of weeks to all existing members. Stay tuned for more details.

New t-shirts celebrating our Premiership win

from Nancy

We are designing and printing up our celebratory T-shirts which will be a basic white tee of a quality cotton with blue and red artwork (currently in the design stage).

This type of shirt usually retails by the Regatta Shop for $40 but the club has decided to subsidise the cost and pass them on to you for only $10 each.

So that you can be sure of getting the size you want, a batch of samples will be available for trying on from Saturday morning until the end of next week.

They will be on top of the white cupboard outside the office along with a notepad on which you need to write your name and size.
We will be ordering extras however failure to choose your size means – pot luck later on!
