Tinnies off the pontoon
Photo of tinny tied up to pontoon next to the DO NOT LEAVE TINNY TIED TO HERE sign. The tinny was crushed under pontoon as tide came in. Who left it there is a good question. I’m sure the person knows who they are. This is called expensive laziness or a sheer “I’ll do as I please” attitude.
We are negotiating the details for the dinner at the Yarra Yarra Rowing Club after the HOTY. It looks like being an all you can eat BBQ for only $20 per head. Drinks available to purchase on site. Even the students can’t complain about that.
Race entry including T Shirt is $47, towing $53, Dinner $20 = $120. This amount will be prepayable through our online shop.
Clean Up – Saturday
This Saturday we will return our shed to its former glory. Volunteer helpers needed from about 8.30am – sweep and hose out downstairs / move some boats / remove everything off the floor / clean out tinnies / tidy office – my blood pressure is starting to drop already.
Please note that the mirror cupboard area was tidied up and labelled by our Juniors last weekend. Return things to their correct slot. Pymble also have their own area. NO JUNK or home treasures!
Pymble arrives on the pontoon by about 5.20am every week day bar Wednesdays. Make sure you get away before then. If not then only get your boat out when ready to go.
Pymble aims to return between about 6.45 and 6.55am – a good time to avoid.
Oars on the lower pontoon deck
I will be placing a WHITE TAPE strip on each side of the pontoon as a marker to inform rowers where the tinny access must be kept clear. Place oars beyond the strip at each end.
