Please always only take plastic water bottles into boats and please do not drop them into boats as this can damage the boat hull. If you don’t have a plastic water bottle, maybe this is something you could ask to find in your Santa stocking. Also, since the start of our new season (July) the club has spent an exorbitant amount of money on boat repairs. Most often the damage that has occurred could have been avoided by taking the proper care, whether it be removing the boat from the rack carefully, taking note of navigation and obstacles when rowing or returning to the pontoon safely.

Can we all please try to take more care with our fleet and if you see a crew who needs a hand, please help them, don’t be a bystander and watch the damage occur, prevention is always better than having to fix things.
