The Leichhardt “Old Rowers” Day

Sunday 21st July 2013

Lunch and a talk about dark deeds … everyone welcome.
11.30am – 3.00pm

And yes, it is the day after the Trivia Night, but also contributes towards Leichhardt Club’s fund raising efforts for 2013/ 2014 in a most enjoyable way.

“Leichhardt Old Rowers” Luncheon and Family Day has been an integral part of Club culture since 1946. The last two financial years realised $17,000 in support of boat acquisitions for Leichhardt.

This year the Balcony Boyz (the LUOR Executive) is encouraging all of the Club Membership (Masters, Associate, Social, Juniors and Parents) to join them on Sunday 21st July. If you haven’t been before you’ll never know what you are missing.

This year’s event will be both entertaining and a departure from previous luncheons. Two famous senior retired police detectives are to provide an insight into past headline criminal events within the Fraud, Consorting, Homicide and Armed Hold-Up Squads in a most enlightening way.

The Leichhardt Rowing Patron and former international rowing representative, Lionel Robberds Q.C. will act as Moderator. You won’t want to miss this event themed as “The Investigators”

The luncheon on Sunday 21 July commences at 11.30 am and you will be treated to the “Balcony Boyz Menu” specially prepared by Chef Ross Ullo at $25.00 per head (students $15.00).

The Club President, Charles has also assigned a Boat Christening on the day to give traditional recognition to both current and former members. The draw for the lucky “500 Club” will also take place on the day and should you wish to win $500.00 enquiries would be welcomed.
