This Week @ LRC- 4 October 2019

New Head Coach

From Tim

It gives me great pleasure to announce to the club that Jeff Paterson has been appointed to the role of Head Coach of the Leichhardt Rowing Club.  Jeff is pretty well known around the shed as a great rowing coach and an even better bloke, so I think Jeff is going to be a really great addition to the club.  Most recently, Jeff has been 1st eight coach at Pymble Ladies College where he has overseen a really successful program that has produced some wonderful schoolgirl crews.

Jeff, Isaac, Daniela, Kaelen and I will be getting around the club over the coming weeks to determine where and how Jeff can add value to each squad.  Our initial direction to Jeff has been to focus on working with the existing coaches and leaders of each squad to help make sure there is a structured training program in place for each squad and to provide technical advice where he thinks it will help.  Please let us know when suits your squad for an initial discussion and session with Jeff so he can get to know everyone around the club and understand how he can best help your squad.

Jeff is a great person and an excellent rowing coach that we are really lucky to have, so any thoughts that you may have on how Jeff can help your squad would be much appreciated.
