This Week @ LRC – 7 July 2017
Awards Night Tonight!!
Please come to the “Three Weeds Hotel” on Evans street TONIGHT at 6.30pm to see who has scored the most points for the club, who has won the most improved and who has won the Navigation Award for the most spectacular prang – plus a host of other awards.
Stand-up food provided ($25 at the door), full bar available. Come and have a relaxed fun evening in a different environment with your crew.
All membership fees for the 2017/18 season are due now. Please follow this link and pay your fees as soon as possible, so that the club can continue to serve you.
Note that no one can enter the JB Sharp regattas without being an LRC member and a paid up member of RNSW, nor any of the upcoming Head Races.
You MUST be financial with the Club and with RNSW at any stage before you can enter any regatta.
For any enquiries about fees, please contact our Treasurer, Simon Miller.
All blades have been remeasured and adjusted (thanks Sue!), and may not be varied without permission from the Captain or Vice-Captains. We will be buying new handles for some sweep blades as well.
Pontoon duties this month are with Brian Dunn and Eugene with Bodell’s crew, Karen Kuzis and Doreen Borg.
Maintenance Weekend – 22 and 23 July
We need to tidy up around the shed and in particular, we need to clean up the inner office and re-hang the pictures.
Silverware cleaning night, Sunday 16th of July so that we can have all the silverware shining for the LUOR lunch.
Women and Head Races
As a follow up from the Women’s meeting, please advise AnnaC about the head races (for big boats) you would like to compete in. Best done through the shared spreadsheet (see specific tab for it), or email (firstname.lastname@example.org). Remember all your crew needs to be financial with the Club and with RNSW before entering. And did we mention the training…? 😉
As we will have a large contingent of corporate crews in August, please remember they will have precedence and we will call on all LRC members to lend a hand during the month and for the Corporate regatta on 3 September. Save the date and get ready!
If you are not on our invite-only Facebook page, please request access. You will be more up to date if you check it regularly.
