Leichhardt Regatta last weekend

Big Thanks to all those who helped run the Leichhardt Regatta last weekend.

In particular, Belinda and her helpers for manning the official table, Guy and his helpers for running the tinnies, Marilyn and her helpers for preparing the BROs meals, Rex guys for the BBQ, the Juniors for the Cake stall and in particular Paul Hackett who acted as Pontoon Marshal all day.

For those who manned the BBQ or ran the sweet/cake stall a special thanks for your efforts.

Point Score Clarification

  1. A club only scores points once in a race and subsequent placing in the race by that club is not awarded points.
  2. If a crew comes third out of three, second out of two or are the only crew to start and finish the race they receive points.
  3. If there are only two boats in a race from the same club, the crew that wins will receive points but not the second placing crew, as a club only receives points once in a race.
  4. 1st place gets 4 points, 2nd place gets 2 point and 3rd place gets 1 point

(Please) Help clear the floor ahead of some functions this weekend

Drummoyne regatta Sunday: Closure of gate beside LRC

Members are advised that during the Drummoyne Regatta on Sunday the gate to the park will not be open.

Visiting clubs have been advised to make alternative arrangements for access to Iron Cove.

This decision has been taken by your Committee because we have not been able to get any acceptable pontoon or regatta management plan from neither Rowing NSW or Drummoyne Rowing Club.

Their expectation seems to be that Leichhardt members will provide all resources to facilitate the safe movement of all crews and equipment. We have rejected that notion in the interests of our members and Pymble Ladies College.

Anyone training early must be off water and boats away by 7:00 am
