DRC Masters Regatta - Boat Allocations

Boat allocations are on the LRC website

Low tides mean TURN AT THE BUOYS and KEEP CLEAR OF THE POINTS

Recently we have been experiencing some very low tides. This means the amount of water in Iron Cove dramatically drops. It also means the depth of the water past the 2 yellow markers off UTS is very low!

Boats have been observed going well beyond this point and in addition to being close to the shore – this is highly risky given the water depth.

Yesterday, four of our most experienced rowers thought they could beat nature and tried to navigate down to the shopping trolley. Unbelievable as it may seem, they hit the bottom and damaged their boat.

Other danger areas are the point just to the west of our pontoon, the stone wall and Rodd Point, please navigate appropriately during low tides.

NSW Masters Championship

State Masters entries are due now. Only competitive crews will be entered – if you have any doubts as to your competitiveness please discuss with the Captain prior to submitting your entry to Anna Cico.
