Thanks and Congratulations

To all the crews that completed the Iron Cove Classic Series.

Leichhardt had some very impressive results and dominated most categories with the WM8+ consistently defeating all comers across the series and winning the Jim Walker Memorial Shield as the fastest women's crew – good work ladies.

A big thank you to all club members who helped to organise and run the regatta on the day and to the BROs and RNSW officials who provided their expertise – we couldn’t do it without all these volunteers.

Good Luck this weekend

To all the crews from our shed competing at this year’s HOTY. See you all down there on Friday to put the boats together and go for a training row down to the big bend. At about 5pm tradition calls for a quiet beer at the outdoor pub across the river.

No beers for the coxswains though, don’t forget the coxswain briefing will be held at Hawthorn Rowing Club at 6pm on Friday.

Of particular interest to coxswains is a video of the course,

Collect your bow numbers at the coxswain Briefing.

Remember to take the things you will need with you at the finish with you in the boat or arrange for someone to take them to the finish for you. There is nowhere to leave belongings at the start.

Weather Forecast – 11 to 22 degrees. Overcast. Low humidity. Perfect…… I feel a win coming on!

And to our Juniors competing in the School Regatta this Saturday on Iron Cove. Bring home a few medals.

To the lucky members remaining home. A relaxed weekend in an empty shed. An ideal time to sweep the floor.

Function at the Club

There is a function scheduled at the Club this Saturday, 28 November. There will be people at the Club to set up from 1:00, the function will be from 3:00 – 11:00.
