Trivia Night - Silent Auction items wanted

Dear Club Members,

The annual Trivia Night is coming upon us, Saturday 12th September.
Your chance to dig deep and support your Club.

There will be the usual silent auction and prizes to be won....
BUT we need donations.
What can you offer up for auctioning? For example, a holiday home, dinner for two, legal services and so on.
Please give as much as you can, it will be appreciated by us all.
Contact Esther on 0409 057 430 or esthertucker007@gmail.com if you can assist.
With thanks!

Juniors Program

Tim Tindale and Andrew Morrell will be running our Junior U19 and U17 Development Squads (both men and women) for the 2016 season.

Steve Roll and Geoff Rich will be in charge of our Club Squad Junior Program.

Juniors will all be commencing this Saturday at 6.30am. This will be a “meet the coaches / large boat” introduction.

I still need one more volunteer from the Juniors to cox the new LTR juniors which is run at 8.30am both Saturday and Sunday for the next 4 weeks. Lauren Rizzuto has already offered to do one crew. Thanks Lauren!

JB sharp

A terrific effort by our LRC rowers has once again seen a return of the Trophy to Leichhardt.

We won the:

• JB Sharp Cup

• Kayzer Shield

• John Sharp Trophy

• LEA Insurance (Joint winners with Glebe) Award

Well done to Simon Hoadley, Jeff Patterson and Sara Sherman for their organisation.

Boats

We have retired the Billy and Bondy Baker sculls to make room for new boats.

There are now 7 green sculls and 9 black ones. The maps will be updated within a week.

Private Oars and Riggers

If you have approved Private Oars and Riggers in the shed make sure you label them clearly. We are still battling to identify some.
The Private Sculling rack is not for people to store their oars if unapproved by the Club Captain. Odd bods will be disposed of!

Corporates

All corporate training is during the week.

A copy of their roster and training times is on both notice boards.

Please boat around not through them. This means get away earlier or later. They have right of way.

Learn To Row

Commences this weekend. There are 4 crews of 8, 2 Juniors and 2 adults. Their complete program is on the notice boards. They train weekends only from 8.30am to 10.30am.

August Cleaning Squad

Reminder that August is Ben Adams’ squad’s turn to sweep out the shed monthly and spray the pontoon weekly.

This weekend would be a good time for a pre-spring sweep.

What do you think Ben?

Scullers Head Of Nepean

Entries must be in this Sunday night for the Scullers Head of Nepean.

See your coach or email me if you do not have an allocated coach yet.

Head Of The Yarra

I now have applications from 14 squads to enter the HOTY in 2015.

Busy times ahead.

Make sure you book your boats. Don't just come down and expect an 8 to be available.

Remember: bookings are only taken on Fridays, 6am to 6pm.
