POINT SCORE WINNERS – LEICHHARDT ROWING CLUB!

Well done Leichhardt. We are to be crowned the 2014 Point Score Champions. A huge effort by all active members throughout the season has seen us return to our rightful position on the ladder.

The Rowing NSW presentation night and dinner at Hunters Hill is June 4th.

All welcome to attend – email Doreen or ring her on 0419691742 for details.
Photos to come.

PLC PYMBLE WINS SCHOOL GIRLS 2014 POINT SCORE

Well done Pymble for winning the 2014 Schoolgirls’ Point score.

A double celebration for the shed!

MAINTENANCE DAY – SATURDAY 24TH OR SUNDAY 25TH MAY.

All rowers who competed last weekend at the State Masters are asked to come down to the shed this weekend with their crew for an hour to rig the 3 eights, wash their boats and report on any damage.

Please send me an email (captain@lrc.com.au) detailing all known puncture marks in hulls – boat name, area and type of damage. John Foley is booked to come down next week to patch away.

SEASON 2015

Now that I have had 2 sleep-ins I am ready to get into the new season, fresh as a daisy!
Over the next month while most are having some well-deserved time off, I will be forming squad levels, coordinators and coaches.
Each member will be able to select the group that suits their commitment level and ability. This will apply to our very youngest juniors right through to our most senior masters.
We already have agreement with Chloe Congdon and Simon Hoadley to coach our men’s and women’s “B” grade eights next season.
More coming soon.

WHY CAN’T CERTAIN PEOPLE LEARN?

Bicycle

1. Here is a photo of a bicycle that has been left at the shed for over a week. This weekend it GOES!

Rigger

2. When placing a rigger on the double rack next to the Petrol Cabinet make sure the gates face inwards. In that way the sliding door can open.

PRIVATE RACKS

Time is running out so get your application in now if you are interested in renting a private boat rack for your single next season. Apply online.

Priority will go to the most competitive and helpful members (now is a good time to volunteer for something). Space is very limited.
Applications will be reviewed by the Boat Sub-Committee at the beginning of July.
